10 avis pour SKIN FOOD Black Sugar Mask Wash Off 3.52 fl. oz.(100g) – Black Sugar Scrub

  1. Casey B

I’ve used many scrubs for the face over the last 20 years; several of those as a licensed esthetician, so we’re talking $80 – $8 dollar scrubs/exfoliants. Gods honest truth, second best scrub I’ve purchased. Best non-spa or medical grade exfoliant to date! This scrub is a nice consistency, not too think, certainly not thin, but has the ability to move around the face without the product falling into the sink or onto the floor. You need about the size of a quarter for the face, maybe a little more if you’re looking to treat the neck area. I love using it on my chest, as I garden & it removes dirt/dead skin like a charm. This scrub/exfoliant has no smell & the perfect amount of sugar/grit to remove the dead skin, & surface level whiteheads that are in sensitive areas: sides of the nose, the chin, your hair line. Once applied, this works well with your fingers or a cloth. Once removed it leaves a 100% clean (no oil or slick feeling) sensation that allows for your product regimen or makeup application. Leaving your skin really looking flawless for the day.I am oily, so I use this every 2-3 days; I will be purchasing this monthly now, as I’m hard pressed to find an exfoliant that I: a, like & b, works! This product comes properly packaged so you can feel good about how it’s handled before it hits you’re doorstep. Do your skin a favor & give this a try. It’s very affordable & so worth it.Side Note: I haven’t been paid or given any free product from this company-it really is “that good”. Enjoy!

Great, soothing exfoliator. You have to be careful not to over do it. I over estimated how much scrubbing action was required at first. It doesn’t take much. The sugar crystals are course enough that they get the job quickly and don’t irritate the skin, so it’s easy to keep going because you don’t feel any irritation telling you to stop. The only consequence of overdoing it was my skin was on the oily side for a couple days afterwards. But just gently massaging it in for maybe 20 seconds, it got the job done and I had no oily skin the next day. Then I let it rest on my face for 20 minutes and rinse it off. My skin feels smooth and soft afterwards. I mix a dollop with a little tea tree oil and rosewater, just to increase its spreadability and limit how much I’m using. I’ve used it once a week for a couple months now and I’ve barely made a dent in this container. So even though it’s a small container, it will last me probably 6 months minimum.

I have very dry, very sensitive skin, and this mask is one of the only products I can find that doesn’t burn it and leaves it smooth, soft, and bright. I’ve had the most success slowly spreading the undiluted product over my skin as it begins to melt, leaving it on for a few minutes longer than the instructions say, then rubbing it in and rinsing with lukewarm water. It doesn’t leave residue in my experience, but may not be the best for oily skin, just because it makes such a difference in my skin’s hydration! This is perhaps the best mask I’ve ever used, and once it’s gone I’ll definitely be ordering more. I am so glad I found Skinfood! Ever since I burnt my face badly—and I mean burnt; it was red and itchy and hot and peeling, almost like I’d given myself a chemical burn just following their normal instructions—with a single use of a popular skincare product, I’ve been wary of buying anything other than my sensitive skin soap and unscented lotion. My skin hasn’t been the same since it’s been damaged and everything else I’ve tried has only caused me pain. However, I found Skinfood’s Bitter Green cleanser on clearance at Ulta, and I think my flippant decision to try it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in years. Their products are so gentle on my skin and have made such a difference with my dry, perpetually irritated face. Since I had a great experience with the cleanser, I branched out to a few other products, including this one, and Skinfood is quickly becoming my favorite skincare brand!!!If only they had something that would help my hormonal breakouts…

I recently began a quest for all the beauty products needed to achieve the youthful, dewy look ever popular in Korea in anticipation of my wedding day. (Yes, I’m an American who watches a lot of Kdramas and became supremely jealous of Kon Joon-He’s character in “She Was Pretty.”) I’ve had a fantastic experience with the new skin care regimen: huge reduction in blemishes, almost completely eliminated the pimples!!!–I just get one or two during my period–evened skin tone, and overall a cleaner, softer face. Since it’s been so overwhelming to research every step on my own, I’m providing a list of all the winners so far, and in what order of the skin care/makeup routine to use them in. Hopefully this is helpful for anyone who wants to venture into the world of Korean skin care but isn’t sure where to start. **Indicates the product in review.1. Cleanser – The Face Shop: Rice Water BrightApply this to dry, unwashed skin and gently rub in circles to fully cleanse your face. Works as a makeup remover, but I’d recommend a different product for eye makeup removal. Rinse the oil off with lukewarm water.2. Toner/Refresher – Etude House 10-in-1 House Wonder Pore FreshenerTightens pores, and purifies skin. Apply to a cotton pad or cotton balls and then to face. Let dry.3. Moisturiser – Skin Food Peach Sake EmulsionPretty self-explanatory. Apply right after the toner sets in to feed your face with some moisture. I love the light peachy scent. It’s lovely and sweet, but in no ways overpowering. I love how it treats my skin.4. Serum – Skin Food Peach Sake Pore SerumA slightly more concentrated moisturiser to apply after the first. Yes, Koreans have many steps (most of them moisturising ones) in their beauty routine, I’ve learned. But it really does amazing things to your skin. And once you get the hang of it, applying all these products every night doesn’t really take a whole lot of extra time. It also cuts back on my makeup routine in the morning, because when my skin is naturally healthy, clear, and soft, I’d rather show it off than cover it up. ;)5. Night Cream – Nature Republic Fresh Green TeaNOTE: This particular product is not sold on Amazon. I had to buy it on sale at my local Korean market because I was too scared to order anything over $10 that I wasn’t sure about. But you can find any number of night creams here for the final step. I recommend something with green tea or aloe. Just apply at night onto clean, pampered skin, rub it in thoroughly, and sleep on it!Other Cosmetics/Extras I Found Useful/Worth Purchasing:Facial Scrub – Skin Food Black Sugar Mask**Use twice a week for a deeper facial cleanse than you regular cleanser. Apply a little, gently exfoliate, leave on, rinse off. If it goes on too thick, use a little water or toner to make it easier to scrub in. I’m always a little skeptical when it comes to facial scrubs, because I have moderately sensitive skin that can sometimes be too oily, and sometimes too dry, and some masks do next to nothing for me except make my face smell nice. But this is fantastic stuff! It rubs right into your skin, and washes off beautifully, leaving skin so, so soft and clean! I used to be super lazy about regular skin care, but since trying this out, I look forward to the days when I treat myself to using it. :)CC Cream – Lioele Dollish CC Cera-VCC Creams are much like BB Creams, (not a cream to match your skin colour, but a transparent foundation/primer) but if my experience with the two I’ve tried is any indication, CC Creams give more coverage and make the skin look more bright, white, and luminescent, rather than simply evening out the skin tone and providing SPF. Apply before any colour foundations, if you use them.Highlighter – Etude House Secret Beam Highlighter #1 Pink & White MixTo be brushed on over foundation in key spots to brighten the face even further. Goes on like a sheer fairy dust–just a bit of sparkle, but not like glitter. This isn’t for a Labyrinth Masquerade ball, you know. ;)Face Mist – Innisfree Green Tea Mineral MistFace Mist is something you apply whenever you choose, before or after makeup, to keep your face hydrated and fresh throughout the day. I carry a bottle in my purse and spritz a little on whenever I feel my face is tired. 🙂 This particular mist I haven’t tried yet, because my order hasn’t arrived, but I bought a Nature Republic bamboo mist from my local Korean market, and I love it a lot.Products I Didn’t Think Worth the Fuss:Face Masks- These are a huge hit in Korea, and they’re fun to wear around the house to get a rise out of family members who think you look creepy. But for me they’re too sticky, drippy, and overrated. I prefer the clay masks or avocado masks that you have to wash off after.Expensive Serums, Essence, Bee Toxin… anything over $20 a bottle I passed up. As I’ve discovered, you can get really great results with just the five things I listed above, and none of them are over $15. Most are under $10.

I’ve been using this for a week and I really enjoy its I have very, very, sensitive skin and never use Ariel soap on my face. I typically use Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser or CeraVe Hydrsting Facial cleanser because neither of those products are harsh/abrasive and don’t dry you out. This face scrub is great for exfoliating and getting rid of dry skin, cleansing pores. The smell is lightly fragrant and smells great. I agree with the others I’m saying a little goes a long way, I’ve also found that using a little of the mask on your face and blending it with a little water (fingertip application, not in the container) helps it go on smoother.

I’m an esthetician, and am always looking for things to use at home so as to not get “high on my own supply”. I took a chance on this and was really happy with the results. I use it 2x per week (because you can *definitely* go overboard with exfoliation).I have combination skin, congestion, and bouts of contact dermatitis on my face. I wouldn’t say I have sensitive or reactive skin, but I definitely have struggled with acne since puberty (I’m 32 now). This left my face feeling refreshed without the feeling of abrasiveness you might get from traditional scrubs. It has ingredients that make simply wearing the mask feel like it’s doing a decent job of exfoliating and refreshing, rather than scrubbing alone. As with any skincare regimen, results only come with consistency, so keep that in mind, regardless of which wonder product you’re using. My only peeve is that alone, short of warming it in advance, you have to add something with a bit of a liquid base to make it spreadable. I have plenty of essences and toners on hand to do so, so it wasn’t a huge deal, but others may not.

i have the most sensitive skin, it’s almost ridiculous. it’s to the point where i don’t even buy skincare products unless i’m sure i’ll get a refund. my skin reacts to everything, i’ve seen it all- hives, rashes, burns, breakouts. but when i saw the reviews, i had to risk it for this product. let me tell you, it was worth it. my skin is so smooth and happy!it smells fresh and heavenly, exfoliates well, and yet still leaves my skin feeling soothed. unlike a lot of exfoliators, it’s super easy to wash off too! i hate when you miss parts of it and find it in your hairline later- but the excess wipes off super easily! it is a little on the coarse side, so it’s more rough on your face than other ones, but it didn’t bother me too much. i’m actually growing fond of it.the tub is relatively smaller than i thought, but a little goes a long way and it’ll last you a long while! if you’re looking for an inexpensive exfoliant, try it!!!!

Over the past couple of months I’ve been switching about half my skincare products to Korean Skincare. I’ve been hearing great things about 10 Step Korean skincare and for such a long time, I decided to finally make the switch. I’ve been impressed with everything that I’ve tried so far. This is no exception. It seems that no matter where I looked, this product was always highly recommended. And for good reason. I have combination/oily, acne-prone skin. And my cheeks tend to have more texture than I’d like. So exfoliating has always been a very important step in my skincare regimen..I know a good exfoliating product when I come across one. And this exfoliating mask is perfection. The texture in my skin gets increasingly better as time goes on using this product.WHAT I LOVE:•This stuff smells delicious. It has a light citrus scent.•This mask is also packed full of black sugar.•You only need the smallest amount of product to exfoliate your face. After cleansing my face, I pat my face with a towel leaving my skin slightly damp, I scoop out a nickel sized amount of this mask and massage it into my entire face for a couple of minutes. Focusing on the spots that need it the most (T-zone and outer cheeks). I then rinse it off with warm water, using circular motions until all the residue is gone. I do this every other night.•To use it as a mask you will need to use a little more product. About a quarter size. I do the same steps mentioned above but after I’ve massaged it into my skin, I leave the mask on for 20 minutes and then rinse.•After you rinse this mask off you can immediately feel and see results. Your skin is incredibly soft and noticeably smoother in texture. This mask also leaves your skin very moisturized.•The price is amazing. Korean skincare is amazingly priced compared to American skincare.I highly recommend this product. I don’t have a single con to say about this mask.

This exfoliator is great! It works very well on my sensitive skin and pairs especially well with my skin when it is extra sensitive after using Tretinoin cream. I like that you can utilize it as a basic exfoliator or turn it into a mask just by leaving it on. It has an awesome scent (light and citrus-y — reminds me of the original Fresh lip balm in the brown tube). I especially appreciate that the granules of sugar dissolve when washed away, unlike some other exfoliators that have non-dissolving particles that end up lining of the bottom of my tub and sink. I really enjoy this product and would highly recommend it.
